Psalm 62:7

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

Psalm 62:7 is such a powerful statement of faith and trust in God! As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that God is our ultimate source of salvation, and that everything we do should bring honor and glory to Him.

But what does it mean to depend on God for our salvation and honor? For many of us, it can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking that our own achievements or accomplishments are what make us worthy of salvation or honor. We might think that if we work hard enough, or if we achieve enough success in our careers or personal lives, that we will somehow earn God's favor.

But the truth is that our salvation and honor are not things that we can earn or achieve on our own. They are gifts from God, freely given to us through His grace and mercy. And when we truly understand this, it changes the way we approach everything in our lives.

When we realize that our salvation and honor depend on God, we are free to let go of our own need for control and perfection. We can trust that God has a plan for our lives, and that He will guide us and protect us every step of the way. We can rest in the knowledge that we are loved and valued by God, no matter what mistakes we may have made or how many times we may have fallen short.

And when we live our lives in this way, seeking to honor God in all that we do, we will find that we are able to achieve far more than we ever could on our own. We will find that our relationships are stronger, our work is more fulfilling, and our lives are more joyful and meaningful.

So today, let us remember that our salvation and honor depend on God. Let us trust in His love and grace, and seek to honor Him in all that we do. And may we find true peace and joy in knowing that we are always in the mighty rock and refuge of our loving Heavenly Father.
