Hebrews 12:2

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We can learn a lot from this verse. First, it reminds us to fix our eyes on Jesus. In a world full of distractions and temptations, it's easy to get sidetracked and lose sight of what's truly important. But when we fix our eyes on Jesus, everything else fades into the background. We can see His love, His sacrifice, and His power, and we are filled with hope and faith.

Second, this verse reminds us that Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the one who initiates our salvation and sustains it to the end. We can trust in His power and grace to carry us through any trial or temptation.

Finally, the verse speaks of Jesus' endurance of the cross. He endured the shame and pain of the cross because of the joy set before Him. And that joy was our salvation. When we remember what Jesus has done for us, it fills us with gratitude and a desire to live for Him.

So, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, trust in His power and grace, and remember His sacrifice on the cross. And as we do, may we live every day with gratitude and a desire to honor Him in all that we do.
